DEVeLOPMENTAL Editor, Writing & PUBLISHING COACH & Writer’s Digest Award-Winning Author

I help writers with everything from professional editing and coaching to chapter-by-chapter reviews and micro coaching.

I specialize in narrative nonfiction, speculative, fantasy, sci-fi, dystopian, historical fiction, and YA genres.

Hello Writer! I’m Elizabeth Pettersson, a Fictionary StoryCoach Developmental Editor, Writing & Publishing Coach and Writer’s Digest award-winning author, publishing fiction under the pen name E.A. Carter.

Since 2017, I have published seven books. All of them have won awards.

Before my debut novel, I worked for four years with a professional author and editor signed at the RCW agency in London who taught me how to write and think like an editor. I am also certified as a StoryCoach Editor by Fictionary.

“Having Elizabeth as my developmental editor has been the best investment for my work and myself as an aspiring writer.”

Grace Worwa

“Elizabeth provided me with an in-depth and detailed developmental edit for my science fiction novel.

Her editorial letter and scene-by-scene evaluation were full of actionable suggestions, delivered in a kind and thoughtful way that focused on both the strengths as well as the weaknesses in my writing.

She was also perfectly on time and very responsive to me throughout the editing process.

I am truly grateful for the care and interest Elizabeth has poured into my manuscript.

Working with her has been an illuminating and motivating experience, and I can't recommend her services enough.”

Nicole Carter, MEd, CHES, Health Coach - Author of How I Healed My Ulcerative Colitis, and How I Stayed Ulcerative Colitis Free: Six Years and Counting featured on Good Morning Britain, ITV, and BBC

“Elizabeth did a fantastic job guiding me through writing and publishing my non-fiction book on how I healed my ulcerative colitis with the power of food.

I not only achieved all the goals I hoped to achieve, but I felt understood and my needs were met.

I 100% recommend working with Elizabeth. It was a very positive writing and publishing experience for me.”

Toni Frey

“I approached Elizabeth with a book I barely believed in myself and received back an extensive feedback that not only continues to help me beyond that one story, but also gave me faith in my own stories.

She has the uncanny ability to point out the weak spots and helped me transform them into something stronger.

For her work and guidance I have become a better writer and continue to do so.”
